Dr. Robert Sapolsky is one of the world’s leading neuroscientists, known for studying animals to find what they can tell us about human behaviors. Dubbed the “world’s funniest neuroscientist” by Salon.com and known for his gift for storytelling, The New York Times described him as what you might get “if you crossed Jane Goodall with a borscht belt comedian.” A neuroscientist who spent an unconventional life among the baboons, he is a professor of biology and neurology at Stanford University and a research associate with the Institute of Primate Research, National Museums of Kenya. He is author of A Primate’s Memoir: A Neuroscientist’s Unconventional Life Among the Baboons and Why Zebras Don’t Get Ulcers: Stress Disease and Coping. A MacArthur Foundation Genius Fellow, his latest book, Behave: The Biology of Humans at Our Best and Worst, examines behavior in search of why do we do the things we do. Millions have viewed his top ranked TED talk.
