Newly awarded National Geographic's Adventurer of the Year, Paul Nicklen is the co-founder of the nonprofit Sea Legacy, formed to protect and create healthy and abundant oceans through visual storytelling. In 2017, Nicklen sparked a global conversation about polar bear conservation. An award-winning National Geographic explorer and photographer, Nicklen will reveal the nature of the changing polar regions and interpret what scientists are observing about environmental challenges. Nicklen grew up among the Inuit and developed a life-long interest in wildlife and the environment in which they live.
