The Concert Truck is a rolling music venue that redefines the concert experience by making live music accessible to everyone. The concert truck will present 7 free concerts throughout Thousand Oaks from September 27-October 2. In addition to private concerts for schools and other organizations, the tour will include three performances open to the general public.
The public is invited to attend performances at:
Goebel Adult Community Center
1385 E. Janss Road
September 27 at 4pm
Five07 Coffee House
2036 E. Avenida De Los Arboles (Oakbrook Plaza)
September 29 at 10am
Newbury Park Library
2331 Borchard Road
September 30 at 6:30pm
Each location has parking and attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
In addition to the three public performances The Concert Truck will perform four outreach concerts at Madrona and Walnut Elementary schools, Adelante Free Marketplace and Westminster Free Clinic.
Launched in 2016 in Columbia, South Carolina, the 16-foot box truck is a fully functioning mobile concert hall, complete with lights, a sound system, and a piano. The Concert Truck has toured across the country, staging concerts in city streets, at music and arts festivals, schools, neighborhoods, parks… anywhere you can think to park a truck!
This concert will feature Susan Zhang on piano and Eleni Katz on bassoon.
